Who We Actually Are

We're not your typical stuffy architecture firm. Started in a cramped Toronto loft back in 2012, we've grown into something we're genuinely proud of - a team that actually gives a damn about making cities better, not just prettier.

Our Story (The Real One)

Look, we could tell you some polished origin story, but here's the truth - we started because traditional architecture felt disconnected from real people and the planet. Three of us were working at big firms, watching projects drain resources and ignore community needs. So we quit, pooled our savings (and ate a lot of ramen), and decided to do things differently.

Thirteen years later, we're still here. We've made mistakes, learned tons, and built some stuff we're really proud of. Our focus hasn't changed though - every project needs to make sense environmentally, fit the community it's in, and actually work for the people using it.

The People Behind The Plans

Elena Vasquez

Principal Architect & Founder

"I'm obsessed with how buildings breathe - literally. Grew up in Vancouver watching green roofs go from 'weird' to normal, and that's what drives me. Every project should leave the site better than we found it, or what's the point? Also, I make terrible coffee but great blueprints."

Urban Planning Director

"Cities are basically giant puzzles, and I can't resist a good puzzle. Spent five years at municipal planning before jumping ship - got tired of red tape blocking good ideas. Now I get to actually design neighborhoods people wanna live in, not just zones on a map. Weekend hobby? Sketching Toronto's alleyways - they're underrated."

Sustainable Design Lead

"My parents thought I was nuts for studying both engineering and architecture. Turns out it's perfect for figuring out how to make buildings sip energy instead of guzzling it. I'm that person who'll argue for triple-pane windows at dinner parties. My mission? Proving sustainability doesn't mean sacrifice."

BIM Technology Specialist

"Yeah, I'm the tech geek of the group. Started doing CAD work in high school and never looked back. BIM changed everything - now we can spot problems before they cost someone a fortune. Plus, walking clients through virtual buildings beats explaining 2D drawings any day. Still draw by hand though, keeps me grounded."

Residential Design Architect

"Homes are where life actually happens, y'know? I'm not interested in designing Instagram-perfect houses that nobody can actually live in. Give me a family's chaos, their routines, their dreams - that's what I design around. Also secretly addicted to watching how light moves through spaces at different times of day."

Commercial Projects Manager

"Spent my first career in construction, which means I know what actually works versus what just looks good on paper. Commercial projects need to balance aesthetics with brutal practicality - maintenance costs, workflow, future flexibility. I'm the reality check in the room, and honestly, I love that role."

How We Actually Work

We're not gonna lie - architecture can be messy. There's back-and-forth, budget reality checks, and unexpected site conditions. But we've learned that the best projects come from honest conversations, not pretending everything's perfect.

We start every project by listening - like, really listening. What do you actually need versus what you think you should want? What's your budget really look like? What keeps you up at night about this project?

Then we collaborate. Our team's diverse on purpose - different backgrounds, different perspectives, different skills. It means better solutions and fewer blind spots. Plus, it keeps things interesting around here.

What We Stand For

Environmental Responsibility

Not as a marketing angle - as a baseline. If we can't make it sustainable, we'll tell you straight up.

Community Context

Buildings don't exist in a vacuum. They're part of neighborhoods, cultures, histories. We design with that in mind.

Honest Communication

You'll always know where your project stands - the good, the challenging, and the "we need to talk about this" parts.

Practical Innovation

We love new ideas, but only if they actually work. No gimmicks, no trends that'll look dated in five years.
